History/About

Soldan International Studies High School is located just north of Forest Park, in the western end of St. Louis' historic Union-Delmar neighborhood. The school re-opened in September of 1993 as an International Studies magnet.

Soldan International Studies High School serves students in grades 9-12. Students, teachers, and other staff represent over 30 nations. The school's English as a Second Language (ESL) program serves over 100 students. Enrollment is presently in the 1000 range. All St. Louis area middle schools serve as feeder schools for Soldan International Studies High School. The Bunche International Studies Middle School serves as a direct sequential feeder with its identical magnet theme.

Soldan International Studies High School is a college preparatory school that offers a wide range of courses in the school's specialty area as well as in the traditional disciplines. All entering ninth-graders are given an overview of the school's programs and policies in an Introduction to International Studies class. Six World Languages are offered and Advanced Credit classes in four discipline areas are available through the Univertsity of Missouri-St. Louis.

Soldan International Studies High School is a North Central Association accredited school.
